Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator? We have an excellent opportunity for you in San Jose, California! Our fast-paced logistics facility is seeking an experienced individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Your expertise in forklift operation is crucial to our efficient goods movement and overall supply chain success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various levels in the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safe Lifting and material handling.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support other warehouse functions and logistics operations as needed.
- Ensure accurate movement and tracking of goods within the warehouse management system.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand shipping orders and labels.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb as necessary, and perform moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to using PPE and following all safety guidelines.
