Austin, Texas is seeking a proficient Material Handler to join our bustling logistics center. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will encompass loading and unloading shipments, transferring goods between departments, and ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and accessible. Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment will be a key part of your responsibilities. We place a high emphasis on Safety, and all team members are required to strictly follow Safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, be physically capable of heavy Lifting, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Your contribution will be vital to maintaining the smooth flow of our supply chain.Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Ensure materials are stored in their designated locations and organized.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, forklift operator, or in a similar role is required.
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles.
- Strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
