We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in the heart of San Francisco, California. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse and distribution center. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are handled, stored, and transported properly. You will operate various equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, to move materials between different areas. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and Safety protocols is essential. We are committed to providing a secure working environment, and all employees must strictly adhere to Safety regulations and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform heavy Lifting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all guidelines related to PPE usage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent physical coordination and stamina.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
