Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is looking for a motivated Material Handler to contribute to our fast-paced logistics environment. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, involving the movement and organization of goods throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, identifying, and staging materials for distribution. A critical part of this job involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and potentially forklifts depending on experience. Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and the proper handling of all products. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently is key. This position requires consistent physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. You will play a vital role in maintaining an organized and productive warehouse floor, supporting our overall logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Sort and organize materials for efficient access.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of inventory.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks.
- Support the logistics team in daily operational tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Capability for heavy Lifting and prolonged physical activity.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
