Join our Team as a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector (NICET III) GPI is looking for a dedicated and skilled Construction Quality Assurance Inspector (NICET III) to be part of our team. This crucial role involves performing quality assurance duties for the Replacement of the Livingston Avenue Railroad Bridge over the Hudson River. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Construction Quality Assurance Services to ensure that all project work aligns with contract documents. Oversee quality assurance for a Design-Build Project, while the Design-Builder is responsible for construction quality control. Perform detailed inspections and on-site field testing of materials and construction activities, including collecting data for audits, monthly and final estimates, and progress reports. Verify the As-built Plans and maintain records in compliance with the Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK), including SiteManager and EBO. Conduct spot checks of the Design-Builder's Construction Inspection firm for adherence to contract specifications. Qualifications: Must possess NICET III Certification. Required certifications include ACI Concrete Testing, NETTC Soils and Aggregate Testing, and OSHA 10. Proficient in MURK, SiteManager, and EBO. Experience with NYSDOT Construction Inspection is essential. Preferred experience in Design-Build with NYSDOT. This position requires 100% on-site work. Additional Requirements: A valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) is required. Possession of a personal vehicle for use on job sites. Ability to read, write, and understand technical plans and instructions in English. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Capability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours up to a full day, and traverse uneven construction sites safely. Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 20 feet and work at heights of 6 feet or higher while adhering to safety regulations. Compliance with GPI's PPE requirements, including hard hats, safety vests, work boots, and safety glasses. Able to lift and transport equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds.
