Systems Administrator
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and services. You will also be an integral member of the team that is responsible for managing operational services that support critical IC services. What you'll do: Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, ensuring their availability, scalability, and reliability. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security patches across the network. Monitor system performance and proactively address any performance issues, bottlenecks, or potential problems. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring data security and compliance with company policies. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support new technologies, systems, and applications as needed. Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with IT-related problems and inquiries. Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. What you'll need to succeed: An active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of Systems Administrator experience Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems management. Proficiency in managing Windows operating systems. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices. Experience with system monitoring and management tools. Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scripting. Certification in ITIL or other relevant service management certifications is a plus. Experience working with technical teams to develop and deliver technical documentation Salary Range: $87,000 - $105,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: the candidate's professional background and relevant work experience, the specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs, internal equity and alignment with current team compensation. This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include performance-based bonuses, company-paid training and/or certifications, and referral bonuses.
