Professional Services Business – Business Development Manager
This role will be within our Professional Services Business. RPS is an IT transformation and change consultancy focusing on the UK Public Sector. Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Business Development Manager based in Birmingham or London, with flexibility to work partially from home. The role involves driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets. The candidate collaborates with internal teams to design tailored solutions, deliver compelling proposals, and ensure client satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research, analysing trends, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives. Qualifications
Business Development and Sales Acumen: Proven track record in identifying opportunities, managing client accounts, and meeting revenue goals. Experience selling to the Public Sector within the UK. IT services or similar sales experience. Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong skills in market research, data analysis, and creating targeted strategies. Communication and Relationship Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Presentation and Negotiation: Ability to create engaging proposals and effectively negotiate contracts and agreements. Organizational and Time Management: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to dynamic business environments. Relevant Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with procurement processes and the public sector is an advantage.
