We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail are paramount in this position. As a Warehouse Associate, you will work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily targets and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety .
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and managing inventory.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Comply with all PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Awareness of and adherence to safety protocols.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
