We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our modern distribution center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely operating a reach truck to move and stack inventory at various heights. This position is vital to optimizing our warehouse space and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and possesses excellent control and maneuverability skills. This is a key opportunity to contribute to our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, retrieve, and place palletized inventory at elevated levels.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on the reach truck.
- Ensure accurate placement of inventory in designated racking systems.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring timely and accurate stock placement.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures, including maintaining clear aisles and emergency exits.
- Accurately record inventory movements and locations within the warehouse management system.
- Operate other material handling equipment as needed.
- Report any damage to racking, inventory, or equipment immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, focusing on Safety and efficient logistics.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification or license to operate a reach truck.
- Ability to safely maneuver in narrow aisles and at significant heights.
- Knowledge of warehouse racking systems and inventory storage best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some occasional Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in placement and recording.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
