We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to our Logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring efficient stock rotation. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Safety is a core value, and you will be expected to uphold all Safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the role is primarily analytical, occasional Lifting and movement of inventory may be required. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Monitor stock levels and generate inventory reports.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to facilitate efficient Logistics.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to address inventory-related issues.
- Train and guide team members on inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and ensure appropriate PPE is used.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques and WMS.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of Logistics principles.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
