Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange inventory according to established procedures.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA) or ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and safety labels.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
