We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is vital to ensuring that our products are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment to our valued customers. You will be responsible for managing the shipping process, which includes verifying orders, preparing documentation, packing items securely, and coordinating with carriers. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. We are dedicated to fostering a safe and productive workplace, and your adherence to all procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This position involves regular interaction with warehouse staff and external partners, making communication skills important.Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and process outgoing shipments.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to shipping requirements.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all lifting requirements and safe handling practices for packages.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics/warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques.
