We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and processing all incoming shipments, ensuring that our inventory is managed efficiently from the moment it arrives. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our overall logistics operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately document all received goods into the warehouse management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments.
- Sort and stage received items for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and staging areas.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Follow safe Lifting practices when handling incoming goods.
- Support the broader logistics team by communicating effectively and performing other warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or warehouse operations is preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to perform physical tasks, including some manual Lifting. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
