We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks, ensuring safe handling of all materials.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects and report findings immediately.
- Accurately document received items into the inventory management system.
- Sort and stage incoming inventory for distribution or put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to safety standards and consistent use of provided PPE is required.
