We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This position is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are moved accurately and promptly. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to maintain optimal inventory levels and support order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and have a proven track record of safe forklift operation. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include pre-operation checks on forklifts, transporting goods to and from designated areas, and assisting with inventory management tasks. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and proper PPE usage.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
