*About Us*
We are a high-volume, patient-centered outpatient radiology practice committed to excellent imaging and exceptional patient care. Our MRI department is a vital part of our services, and we are seeking a dependable PRN MRI Technologist to support coverage needs — especially during our busiest *midday–evening hours and Saturday half-day schedule*.
*Position Summary*
The PRN MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and efficient workflow. This role is ideal for a skilled technologist who values strong image quality, smooth patient flow, and flexible PRN scheduling.
*Schedule Needs (Important)*
*We are specifically looking for PRN technologists available for:*
* *Midday–Evening shifts (most needed)*
* *Saturday half-days*
* Shift times may vary by location and volume; consistent PRN availability in these windows is strongly preferred.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and radiologist specifications.
* Complete thorough patient screening and MRI safety checks (implants, contrast, contraindications).
* Position patients correctly and select imaging parameters to produce diagnostic-quality images.
* Administer contrast when required, following policy and safety standards.
* Monitor patients throughout exams and maintain a calm, reassuring environment.
* Maintain MRI suite readiness: equipment checks, cleanliness, and supplies.
* Communicate effectively with radiologists and staff to keep workflow smooth and timely.
* Follow HIPAA, OSHA, ACR safety guidelines, and all practice protocols.
*Required Qualifications*
* ARRT (MR) *or* ARMRIT MR certification required.
* Current Florida MRI license (if applicable).
* BLS/CPR certification required.
* Strong understanding of MRI safety and outpatient workflow.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently with a patient-first mindset.
*Preferred Experience*
* Outpatient imaging experience strongly preferred.
* Experience with [Siemens / GE / Philips scanners].
* Comfortable with a broad outpatient caseload (neuro, MSK, spine, abdomen/pelvis, contrast studies).
* Familiarity with PACS/RIS workflow.
