We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, staging materials for outbound shipments, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout our facility. Safety is our highest priority, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a vital position within our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and trucks.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
- Ensure that all merchandise is properly secured and stored.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and management to meet logistics goals.
- Adhere to all warehouse traffic regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
