We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our Logistics operations in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within our warehouse facility. This role is critical to maintaining an organized and productive work environment, ensuring the timely movement of goods throughout our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures. Adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires skillful operation of forklifts and may involve some manual Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Assist with inventory management, including accurate placement and tracking of goods.
- Ensure all loads are safely secured and balanced.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to warehouse Safety standards.
- Comply with all Safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and warehouse operating procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support general warehouse operations and Logistics tasks as needed.
- Participate in physical inventory counts when required.
- Perform minor maintenance on forklifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and efficient work environment.
