We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. This role requires an experienced individual who can safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. You will play a critical part in our logistics chain, ensuring the smooth flow of products from receiving to shipping. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide comprehensive training on safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and logistics.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and adhere to lifting guidelines when necessary.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
