Lam Research invites you to join as a Network and Security Architect. In this role you will be responsible for solution design, business development, and technical guidance on networking solutions, product plans, and roadmaps. You will create and design relevant solutions while keeping in mind the company environment, develop and deliver professional proposals and design documentation, and provide technical assistance and guidance to projects across various systems and infrastructures. Acting as a technical liaison, you will address complex business problems with automated systems solutions, contributing to Lams commitment to innovation and efficiency. Impact & Responsibilities Build the networks by taking into consideration bandwidth requirements, infrastructure requirements, and security. Estimate growth and plan for network upgrades to meet future demands. Work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Provide flexible support for global projects and migrations during non?business hours. Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve project goals. Maintain detailed documentation for each project. Demonstrate knowledge in advanced networking and infrastructure security. Train the operations team on new solutions implemented. Problem?solve and meet reasonable deadlines. Manage or support a team with little supervision. Recommend solutions to improve overall network health and efficiency. Stay current with emerging technologies and make recommendations for new technology adoption.
Qualifications
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 15+ years of networking experience. Completed at least 3 significant network solution designs. In?depth knowledge of the OSI network model. Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and other network types. Proficient with DNS, HTTP, SSL, 802.1x, load balancing, WAN optimization, SD?WAN, VPN, PKI. Experience with Cisco products (Nexus, Catalyst switches, routers, WLC, ISE). Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and IPS configuration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of F5 load balancer. Knowledge of public cloud platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of zero?trust networking is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or Azure Network Engineer Associate certifications.

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00. The above salary range is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors. Benefits
