*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in skilled nursing and long-term health, with expertise in acute pain management and the ability to provide exceptional nursing care. This role requires proficiency in IV insertion and familiarity with ICD-10 coding, as well as the capability to lift patients and assist with their daily needs. A passion for providing high-quality care to geriatric patients is essential.
*Responsibilities*
* Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in nursing home setting, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Assess patient conditions, document medical histories, and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and acute pain management protocols.
* Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance strategies.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
* Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices in nursing.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of long-term care practices and skilled nursing medicine.
* Proficient in acute pain management techniques.
* Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility needs.
* Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation.
* Skilled in IV insertion procedures.
* Understanding of aliment systems related to patient care.
* Experience working with admissions and discharges is preferred.
* Compassionate approach to geriatric care, ensuring comfort during medical procedures and daily care.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
