About the Role

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and optimization of technical investment projects within a production environment.

In this role, you will develop technical concepts, advise internal stakeholders on decision-making, manage detailed engineering activities, secure project funding, and oversee execution. You will be fully accountable for costs, timelines, and functionality of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities Technical Project Management (approx. 60%)
  • Plan and deliver small to medium-sized investment projects with direct impact on production and business results

  • Perform process engineering calculations and drive plant optimizations

  • Conduct feasibility studies for new plants and for upgrades or rebuilds of existing facilities, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functional assessment

  • Plan, execute, and support production adjustments and product launches

Concept Development (approx. 20%)
  • Develop and evaluate technical solution concepts, including assessment of advantages and disadvantages

  • Support decision-making through structured technical analysis

Team Coordination & Resource Management (approx. 10%)
  • Procure, coordinate, and manage internal and external resources to ensure professional and timely project execution

  • Act as a project lead within a matrix organization

Process Optimization & Knowledge Transfer (approx. 10%)
  • Optimize process flows and support implementation of technical solutions

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best-practice sharing across teams

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong ability to apply professional technical knowledge in day-to-day project work

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly independent, structured, and reliable working style

  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)

  • Innovative and solution-oriented mindset

  • Strong leadership skills in a matrix environment

  • Excellent ability to understand complex technical and business contexts

  • Highly motivated with a hands-on attitude
