We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our busy logistics center in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper handling from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying received items against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all incoming inventory. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all products are properly received into our system. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting. Safety is a critical component of this role; you will be required to adhere to all company safety policies, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and employing safe lifting techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Perform duties involving lifting and moving merchandise safely.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions.
