We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring order accuracy and efficiency, directly impacting customer satisfaction. This involves using handheld scanners to locate and verify items, carefully packaging them to prevent damage during transit, and labeling packages correctly. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is paramount, and you will be required to follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial. This position involves regular Lifting of boxes and materials, so physical stamina is a requirement. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during shipping.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Label packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
