We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, stock adjustments, and discrepancy resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles and a proven track record of success in a warehouse environment. Your primary goal will be to minimize inventory losses, optimize stock levels, and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures is paramount. This role may involve regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs and will require the consistent use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identify root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items for replenishment or discontinuation.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS or inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, involving frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
