Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Salt Lake City, Utah! We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety protocols and be adept at navigating a busy warehouse environment. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as staging materials for shipment. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack merchandise according to established procedures.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and workplace safety.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
