Are you a skilled operator looking for a challenging role in Boston, Massachusetts? Our growing logistics company is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will also assist with receiving and put-away of inventory, order picking, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong safety record, excellent equipment operating skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. This role requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting, including moving product to and from pallets. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
- Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and operating procedures.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting tasks, such as moving items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
