We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our vibrant logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, well-packaged, and dispatched on time. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, packaging products securely, and coordinating with carriers. This position is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our outbound logistics. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Verify outgoing orders against customer specifications and shipping orders.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Load trailers and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers to resolve any shipping issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
