We are seeking a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving goods from receiving to storage areas, and preparing materials for shipment. This position is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and other storage mediums.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
This role requires a commitment to physical exertion, including regular lifting and bending, as part of daily logistics tasks. Your dedication to safety and operational efficiency is paramount.
