We are seeking dedicated and reliable Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in the heart of New York City, New York. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse. You will work with a variety of products, utilizing scanning technology to maintain inventory accuracy. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount as you contribute to our overall operational success. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate packaging materials.
- Utilize hand-held scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to exceeding expectations.
Requirements:
Candidates must be able to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety are essential. Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Understanding of basic inventory control principles is beneficial. This role is critical to our Logistics operations and requires punctuality and reliability. All employees are required to wear provided PPE , including safety vests and footwear.
