We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth flow of goods throughout our distribution center, supporting critical logistics operations. Responsibilities include operating forklifts to move, stock, and retrieve inventory, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Safety is paramount; all associates are expected to strictly adhere to established Safety procedures and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands a keen sense of awareness, precision, and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the warehouse runs like a well-oiled machine. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Employ safe Lifting practices when necessary.
- Keep the work environment clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a busy warehouse.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
