Our St. Louis, Missouri facility is seeking a reliable Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for efficiently retrieving items from inventory and ensuring they are securely packaged. A commitment to Safety, accuracy, and speed is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for product type and quantity.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts as required.
- Adhere to all company policies, particularly those concerning workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Support the broader Logistics functions of the warehouse as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong commitment to Safety and following all procedures diligently.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic Logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
