We are seeking a diligent and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Provo, Utah. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials with accuracy and efficiency. Your primary focus will be on maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and report any discrepancies.
- Pick and stage materials for outbound shipments according to orders.
- Pack materials securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to Safety and following all guidelines.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
