We are hiring a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage inbound logistics at our busy Las Vegas, Nevada facility. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. This role is vital for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth flow of products through our distribution network. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to process all deliveries efficiently and safely. Our commitment to a safe work environment includes providing comprehensive training and requiring the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label merchandise appropriately for internal tracking and distribution.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing or storage.
- Coordinate with shipping departments and other warehouse personnel to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control measures and periodic stock takes.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in verification and recording.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
