Job Summary:
Are you passionate about accuracy and efficiency in inventory management? Our Tampa, Florida distribution center is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and maintain the integrity of our stock. In this vital role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics operations, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accurate inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items needing replenishment or adjustment.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Manage and maintain the warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Support broader logistics and supply chain initiatives related to inventory.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
