Job Summary:
We are looking for an efficient and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics hub in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. Your role is integral to our supply chain, ensuring that products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to workplace Safety are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and package goods for shipment, ensuring they are secure and properly labeled.
  • Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation using the company's shipping software.
  • Coordinate with transportation carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, including Safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE .
  • Track shipments and resolve any shipping-related issues or delays.
  • Assist with inventory control as needed.
  • This position may involve Lifting of moderately heavy packages.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
