We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of goods. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying shipment contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience with shipping software and understanding of warehouse operations are highly desirable. This position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will be involved in tasks that may require moderate to heavy Lifting, so physical stamina is important. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify all incoming and outgoing merchandise against order forms and invoices.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all shipping labels and documentation are correct and legible.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Safety guidelines.
- Operate shipping equipment safely and effectively.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a related Logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following procedures.
