We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in Boise, Idaho. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your duties will include reading pick lists, locating products within the warehouse, and carefully packing orders to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. This position requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. A good understanding of warehouse logistics and a dedication to safety are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists to accurately identify and retrieve items from inventory.
- Locate and gather products from various warehouse locations efficiently.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Package orders securely and appropriately for shipment, using correct materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that involve physical activity, including frequent lifting and movement.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
