Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. A key aspect of this position involves meticulous record-keeping to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding warehouse safety standards. You will work closely with team leads and other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Properly store materials in designated locations, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
  • Pick and pack orders according to pick lists, verifying product information.
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and operational efficiency.
  • Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity and consistent lifting.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, consistently throughout the shift.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Commitment to safety and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
