We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Denver, Colorado. This role is critical to ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying package contents. A keen eye for detail and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be proficient in shipping software and have a solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Your role will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring timely deliveries. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow. This position requires a commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries related to shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Lifting techniques and requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
