We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts to transport goods, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a keen understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including proper handling of materials and adherence to all traffic rules within the facility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into racking systems.
- Transport goods throughout the warehouse according to instructions.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in regular safety training and drills.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting and other physical tasks as required.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
