We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of goods to our customers. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a commitment to upholding our high standards of operational efficiency and safety. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. Your attention to detail will be paramount in preventing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and shipping procedures. This role involves regular lifting of packages, so physical stamina is a plus. We provide comprehensive training on our systems and processes. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Communicate with shipping carriers to arrange for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate basic office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is preferred. Familiarity with shipping software is a plus. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Must comply with all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
