We are actively recruiting for a Material Handler in our Austin, Texas facility. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing materials for production or shipment. Safety is our top priority, and all Material Handlers are expected to adhere to strict Safety protocols and consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This physically demanding role requires the ability to perform significant Lifting of materials, often weighing over 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and best practices.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and physical tasks regularly.
- Capability to lift and maneuver items weighing over 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Commitment to wearing and properly using PPE.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic in a logistics setting.
