Job Summary:
Our dynamic distribution center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This key role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, auditing, and process management. You will play a vital part in our logistics operations by ensuring that stock levels are accurate, identifying discrepancies, and implementing solutions to prevent future errors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse inventory systems. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, including slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve product flow.
  • Assist in the training of warehouse staff on inventory procedures.
  • Support overall logistics efficiency through accurate inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting as required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
