We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our state-of-the-art facility. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our logistics operations, from receiving incoming shipments to preparing outgoing orders. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be paramount in maintaining our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Conduct inventory counts and checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring easy access to materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement.
- Adhere to all required PPE guidelines to ensure personal and team well-being.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and WMS is a plus.
- Commitment to working safely and following all established guidelines.
