Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is looking for a diligent Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management systems, which is essential for smooth Logistics operations. You will be responsible for tracking stock, conducting audits, and implementing measures to ensure precision and reduce errors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Manage inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement procedures to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels, adjust as needed, and report on stock movements.
- Analyze inventory data to identify shrinkage and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with Logistics and operations teams to optimize stock rotation and availability.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a Logistics setting.
- Proficiency with WMS software and strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures is paramount.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
