We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Technician to join our dedicated team in Dallas, Texas. This critical role ensures the optimal performance and safety of our warehouse machinery and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and conducting necessary repairs on a variety of warehouse systems, such as conveyor belts, automated storage systems, and material handling equipment. A solid background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required. You will collaborate closely with warehouse management to implement preventative maintenance schedules and minimize operational disruptions. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all technicians must rigorously follow safety guidelines and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
- Perform safety checks and audits on all operational equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely when necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently.
- Keep workshop areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to warehouse staff regarding equipment operation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; post-secondary training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or similar industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with automated warehouse systems and material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
