As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to quality to ensure our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders or pick lists.
- Use scanning devices or pick sheets to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving or stocking.
- Contribute to team goals by meeting or exceeding productivity targets.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or orders to a supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Capacity for lifting and moving items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good time management skills and ability to work at a steady pace.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to follow safety instructions and wear required PPE.
