We are seeking a detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking products based on customer orders and meticulously preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial for our order fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive their items correctly and on time. You will play a vital part in the efficiency of our logistics operations and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counting.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Operate pallet jacks or hand trucks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
