We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for accurately processing outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring that all packages are ready for dispatch. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, contributing to the efficient flow of goods and maintaining customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and administrative staff to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and record outgoing shipments.
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Conduct visual inspections of outgoing packages to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Communicate with internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Familiarity with shipping software is a plus.
